First, the DMCA can be used against any site that is hosted within the United States. That is preferable to working with Google because it is faster, easier and removes the work from the Web, not just the search engines. Second, in addition to Copyscape, check out Bitscan at bitscan.com, it is a great compliment to Copyscape and has much of the same functionality but offers unlimited results and seems to get different sites than its "brother".
